In this training manual, historiological (1st and 10th chapter) and historiographical (2-9th chapter) description of linguistics of the second half of the 19th-20th century are proposed. Methodological and conceptual attitudes and termine systems of the main domestic and foreign scientific schools and directions are considered, starting from the Kharkov school and completing a general review of the European and American linguistics of the second half of the twentieth century, from the angle of view of their influence on the formation of a modern anthropocentric paradigm in linguistics.
The book is addressed to senior students, undergraduates and graduate students and can be used both in the course of "History of Linguistics", and in preparation for candidate exams
