Knauer (Knauer) Fedor (Friedrich) Ivanovich (Matthaus Friedrich) (1849-1917, Tomsk), doctor of comparative linguistics, professor of comparative linguistics and Sanskrit St. Vladimir (Kyiv) The textbook of F.I. Knauer was printed at the beginning of the last century, but still remains the best manual in Russian to study Sanskrit. It very successfully sets out the norms and features of Sanskrit graphics, phonetics, grammar and word formation. The book, published in 1908, is a revised version of the "Guide to study Sanskrit", published earlier together with Miller in 1891. This is not only a textbook, but also a grammatical reference book, to which exercises, a selection of texts and the Sanskrit-Russian dictionary of dictionary are attached . Circulation 30 copies.
