The purpose of the methodological manual of American linguists M. B. Emomeno and B. A. Van Noten is the practical development of phonetic principles on Sanskrit material. The first part provides a list of the most important rules of Sandhi with links to Sanskrit grammar by W. D. Whitney, in the second - exercises for applying these rules when constructing word forms and phrases. Tasks contain all the necessary information. Preliminary knowledge of Sanskrit is not required. The presented translation is equipped with answers for self -testing. It is recommended as an additional training in the framework of Sanskrit courses, in the study of phonology, as well as just lovers of puzzles
