This textbook is based on materials of general and special lecture courses in Russian morphology and the grammatical categories of the verb read by the author at the Faculty of Philology of the Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov. This is the second edition of the book, first published in 2009, processed and supplemented. In the training manual, grammatical categories of type and time are considered taking into account modern domestic linguistic theories and data of comparative Slavic aspectology. The main attention is paid to the semantics and functions of the type and species-temporal forms of the Russian verb in different communicative types of speech. Discussion issues of studying categories of species and time are also analyzed. In the second edition, information on modern linguistic studies in the field of grammar was updated, new sections were added. There are exercises and texts for semantic and morphological analysis of verb forms.
The manual is intended for students, undergraduates and graduate students of philological faculties of universities.
