There is no person who would not be interested in his name (anthroponym), the name of his native village or city (toponym), the names of stars, constellations, planets (cosmonims) These are the words-orientes. They are studied by linguists, historians, ethnographers, geographers, astronomers. The science of their own names (onomastics) --- an integral part of the training of teachers for schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, social studies, culturalists, and folklorists are not complete without it. The textbook for students “Russian Onomastiki” published for the first time in 1983 has long become a bibliographic rarity.
