The dictionary contains about 312000 most used words, phrases and expressions found in the marine literature used in their practical activities by the crews of trade, commercial and river transport, coastal specialists serving the fleet. It includes the terminology for automation, electronics, satellite communication, device, operation of a modern sea vessel in a market economy.
A separate section as an application includes commands when setting the vessel anchor and removing from the anchor, mooring, towing, steering commands, terms in medicine and provisions. As an application, there is a list of abbreviations in Russian and English, found in marine technical literature, business correspondence.
The proposed dictionary is the result of many years of experience of the author’s work in various positions of the senior command composition of the crews of the vessels of the dry -loaded and tanker fleet, including in the marine representative office abroad. The dictionary is intended for both the float, and for coastal employees of the sea fleet, translators, teachers and cadets of marine educational institutions, as well as for business people who have trade and economic relations abroad.
