This publication contains works on modern Russian and ancient Russian accentologies, written for several decades - both previously published and new.
The first volume contains research in the field of modern and historical accentology of the Russian language. Its most important part of it is a generalizing work from the Pre -Slavic accentuation to the Russian ", containing the presentation of the foundations of the emphasis of the modern Russian language and the foundations of the history of Russian stress.
It is followed by works devoted to the individual narrower problems of modern Russian stress and the history of its formation. A special place among them is occupied by a detailed accentological description of the two monuments important for the history of the Russian stress - the “measure of the righteous" of the XIV century and "cosmography" Martin Belsky of the 16th century.
The second volume contains the ancient Russian and old-sided accentological dictionary-reference, including about 6,500 words. It consists of two parts - general and special (dedicated to their own names) The discovery dictionary reflects, firstly, the entire Old Russian and old-sided material discussed in the first volume, and secondly, additional accentological material, extracted directly from more than 70 monuments of the XI-XVII centuries.
The Dictionary-Independent combines the function of the usual pointer with the function of the accentological dictionary. In this latest quality, it is a manual that, within the framework of a fairly representative corps of words, will allow the reader to directly get an answer to the question of what the previous stress of a modern word was and what happened with his emphasis over the past 500-700 years. A special sign (¦) is highlighted words in which modern stress differs from Old Russian. This will give the reader a convenient opportunity to directly observe those groups of words where there was a change in stress during history.
The publication is intended for both specialists (linguists, literary critics, historians), and for all those interested in the history of Russian words and their stress
