The book presents a review of the general problems of the lexicology of the Latin language, in particular, the diverse connections of words in the lexical system are considered based on the achievement of comparative historical linguistics. The dynamics of systemic changes in the language can be traced from the great -European period to the ancient Latin epigraphic monuments (VII century BC), to the literary texts of the archaic period (PLAVT, Terentius, Cato) and then to the classical period and to late Latin. In the history of the development and replenishment of the lexical composition of the Latin language from the ancient period to the first centuries e.
