The collective monograph continues the series “Problems of Functional Grammar”, conceived by Alexander Vladimirovich Bondarko and was carried out for many years under his leadership. The theme of this volume was proposed by him and was developed according to his plan and the plan. Like the previous volumes of the series, it contains a number of chapters on the grammatical description of the Russian language in synchrony and diachrony, and also affects the typological and ontogenetic aspects of the problems under discussion. The main attention of the authors is aimed at analyzing the speech implementations of the attitude of the speaker in the semantics of grammatical categories, their discursive and text functions. The book was prepared in the theory of the theory of grammar of the Institute of Linguistic Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg) and is intended for a wide range of linguists who are interested in theory and methodology of grammatical research. Specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Helsinki took part in writing the monograph.
