The monograph is devoted to the theory and practice of cognitive-discourse research of metaphorical modeling in modern political communication. Promising directions in political metaphorology of the beginning of the twentieth century are considered. It is theoretically substantiated that the leading trend in this scientific field is a discursive turn, that is, the transfer of the center of attention of researchers from the cognitive base to the discursive characteristics of the use of metaphors. Modern methods and techniques of cognitive-discourse research of political metaphors are characterized.
