The purpose of the manual is to ensure a clear organization of the study of the course "Old Slavonic language", which opens the cycle of historical disciplines. In the course of its development, students get acquainted with new concepts that will have to operate in the future when studying the disciplines "historical grammar of the Russian language", "History of the Russian Literary Language". The manual identifies the main topics of the course "Old Slavonic language", for each of which control issues are formulated for repeating theoretical material. The manual offers schemes and algorithms that contribute to the development of skills to determine the positions of reduced, ancient type of declination of nouns, the ancient class of verbs.
