The monographs consider issues that are relevant for modern terminance related to the imagery of the scientific text and methods of its implementation. The concept of the “figurative layer of the text "has been introduced as the theoretical base of the study, which is formed by fragments of various textual volumes extracted from linguistic and philological texts of twenty authors and include a living image of a type or another as an organizing component: metaphor, comparison, likening and phraseologism. The interpretative, predicative, terminological and emotional-evaluative functions of the cognitive image of the scientific text are analyzed. Attention is also paid to different types of intra -linguistic and inter -leyed rollbacks.
The book is addressed to thermal studies, specialists in the field of lexicology, lexicography and stylistics, as well as graduate students and undergraduates mastering the training course "problems of terminology in the professional sphere", and contributes to the formation of metaphorical competence among modern professional personality
