The story “Heart” of Edmondo de Amichis, first seeing the light in 1886, instantly gained popularity among Italian readers, and was soon translated into dozens of languages of the world. One of the most striking fragments of the work is a kind of “story in the story”, the work of the protagonist entitled “From Apennin to the Andes”, the dramatic story of the trip of a thirteen -year -old teenager from Genoa, in search of a beloved mother of the not afraid to cross the Atlantic and, being in Argentina, To do many hundreds of miles in an unfamiliar country, among strangers, a story that is unlikely to be able to leave someone indifferent.
