Lexicology of English. Theory and Practice

This textbook is developed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard. The textbook includes basic information about lexicology as a section of linguistics, semantics, etymological composition of modern English, word formation and phraseology, polysemia, synonymy and antonymy, stylistic differentiation of the vocabulary of the English language.
A textbook is proposed for teaching the basics of the lexicology of modern English to full students in training in the direction of 45.03.02 "Linguistics", a program of additional professional education and professional retraining "Translator in the field of professional communication", as well as for everyone who is interested in the theory of the language
