Legal translation. Textbook on translation from English into Russian

The proposed textbook is aimed at teaching a written translation of legal texts of various styles and genres as an activity that combines three stages: translation analysis, translation and editing. Particular attention is paid to the translation analysis of the text. The manual on the basis of modern concepts of linguistics and translation studies systematically sets out the features of the translation of English legal documents and the basic laws of the process of translating a special text are considered. It contains extensive practical material, designed both for working on individual difficulties in legal translation, and for the development of universal translation skills.
It is addressed to students and listeners of legal universities studying the discipline of a professionally oriented translation, and can also be useful to persons who speak English and want to get acquainted with the basics of the theory and practice of written legal translation from English into Russian
