The textbook was created by the team under the leadership of Professor V.N. Yars.
A distinctive feature of the textbook is the presentation of Latin grammar in comparison with similar phenomena in modern Western European (French, English, German) and Russian languages, as well as with the involvement of historical phonetics, morphology and syntax.
Mandatory vocabulary in the textbook is composed of the most common Latin words, which at the same time are the most productive in the formation of the vocabulary of modern languages and international terminology.
The practical part of the textbook is built in such a way as to ensure the absorption of grammatical material, mainly inductively: from individual language phenomena to generalizing conclusions.
The textbook is intended for students of pedagogical universities.
9th edition, corrected
