The textbook contains a brief overview of the history of the Latin language, a compact presentation of that part of Latin grammar, which is needed to understand pharmaceutical terminology. Separate sections are devoted to pharmaceutical chemistry, the terminology of pharmacology and clinic, botany and pharmacognosy.
The novelty of the textbook consists primarily in the non -traditional structure with the separation not by certain classes, but on the topics of educational material, which makes it independent from specific curricula. This is especially true for independent or distance learning in the context of free planning for classes by a university, teacher and student.
A very detailed explanation of the theory, grammatical and prescription samples, repeatedly varying practical tasks on one terminological material facilitate the understanding of terminology and make it possible to independently study the material. The appendix gives historical materials, Latin abbreviations and symbols, lists of chosen foundations of the MNN, botanical terminology, fragments of the British, Japanese and European pharmacopoeia, dictionaries of pharmacy terms, etc.
