This textbook contains a full course of Latin and is intended for students of lyceums and gymnasiums. It can also be used in universities of the humanitarian profile to learn the Latin language. All the material of the textbook is divided into 44 lessons (lectiones) containing the finished (but different in volume) grammatical topics, words for memorizing (mandatory lexical minimum), exercises and texts. Most lessons also include Latin proverbs and winged expressions. After the 44th lesson, texts are given for additional reading. In addition, the textbook includes material for extracurricular work ("Otium Post Negotium"): plays, songs, riddles. Many lessons are equipped with illustrative material. Latin-Russian and Russian-Latin dictionaries contain vocabulary necessary for translating textbook texts.
