The textbook offers theoretical and practical material on the relevant topic of reflection of the language picture of the world in phraseologisms in three language cultures: Russian, English and Chinese. The textbook consists of three sections. The theoretical section 1 briefly discusses the key to this manual the concept of a picture of the world, the language picture of the world and the conceptual metaphor. Section 2 contains specific examples of metaphorical understanding of abstract concepts using phraseological units, including the component -zoony, a mute and color recognition in the English, Russian and Chinese linguistic cultures. Universal and cultural-specific metaphorical units are distinguished. Section 3 includes practical tasks in English, which allow you to fix the knowledge obtained during the study of the first two sections. The manual contains an extensive reference information regarding English and Chinese phraseological units with the component -zonim, -with a memeon and colorfulness.
