The textbook is devoted to a comprehensive study of Canada. The collection reflects the main milestones of the historical, socio -political and cultural development of the country - from the settlement of the North American continent to date. The formation of Canadian society and statehood in the historical perspective has been investigated, the influence of various factors on the culture of the country: an aboriginal, French, British and immigration. Attention was drawn to crisis and conflicting phenomena in Canadian society, the development of Canadian-Russian relations is traced. Materials are published in English. The manual is addressed to historians, culturalists, regions, political scientists, sociologists, philologists and all of those interested in Canada
