In this book, hyperbole is investigated in its attitude to the word as a unit of vocabulary, but not text. The task of the work does not include an analysis of hyperbola - as a means of visualization in the language of fiction. Examples from the texts of fiction are given to illustrate the judgments. The author is interested in questions: whether hyperbolization as taking excessive exaggeration gives rise to independent lexical units, just as the technique of metaphorization gives rise to a metaphor, and the transfer of adjacency - metonymia, as hyperbole relates to paths, with which paths actively interacts, whether the irony affects the penetration of hyperbola in Different types of paths. The book also considers one of the functions adjacent to the hyperbole - intensification, which is often identified with hyperbolization, and other issues.
