The story of the hobbit saw the light in 1937 and laid the foundation for the famous trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. Its author - the English writer and linguist, John Tolkien - is considered one of the founders of the modern fantasy genre. The central character of this story is the hobbit Bilbo Baggins - an ordinary layman, above all that appreciates personal comfort. Suddenly, for himself, he agrees to go on a trip full of dangers. The tests through which Baggins had to go through reveal his best qualities and change his views on the world. He becomes a real hero
