The monograph is devoted to a comparative linguistic-cultural study of the features of the verbalization of Gender in the paremiological picture of the world of the paremia of the Russian, English, German and Italian languages. The first chapter gives a brief overview of the historical development of gender studies, and the directions of modern genderology and the concept of gender are also considered. The second chapter is devoted to proverbs and sayings as a linguistic phenomenon, the study of the historical development of interpretations of the linguistic picture of the world and the consideration of the relationship between the concepts of linguistic and the paremiologic pictures of the world. The third chapter describes the author’s methodology of comparative-consumption linguistic cultural analysis of the gender in the paremiological picture of the world, as well as analysis of three signs found in the verbalization of both sexes: biological, psychological and social.
