The third volume of the fundamental multi -volume dictionary is a systematic description of the vocabulary of the Church Slavonic language of the New Age (letters G, D, E) It will be indispensable when reading biblical, liturgical, hagiographic and other Church Slavonic texts.
The main task of the dictionary is to serve as a source of information about the meanings of Church Slavonic words and expressions. At the same time, some grammatical information is given for each word, in case of values if necessary, information of an encyclopedic nature is given, and Greek parallels are summarized to illustrations from Church Slavonic texts. The dictionary includes all vocabulary included in liturgical books, including geographical names (toponyms), identifying persons of their own (anthroponyms) and official words. In addition, phraseological units and stable phrases are recorded, which are regularly found in liturgical texts. The third volume describes more than 1600 lexical units. The source of the dictionary is the digitized body of texts used during the service in the Russian Orthodox Church. The dictionary is addressed to philologists, historians, teachers of Russian and Church Slavonic languages, clergy, readers and singers, students and everyone who wants to better understand the texts that are used during the church service
