German artistic text: cognitive and linguistic aspects

The monograph sets out the results of interdisciplinary research of German artistic texts created from 1945 to the present. The focus of the authors is the conceptual content of texts, formed under the influence of certain philosophical movements and changing socio-political conditions. Conceptual content is considered in connection with the basic concepts of German culture, which serve as donors for linguistic and cognitive concepts that create linguistic -cultural specifics of the text. Linguistic and cultural specifics are also shown on the material of the German language standard. The texts are analyzed through the prism of the author’s linguistic personality. Three types of authors differing in the dominant in their picture of the world as a cultural background are identified. Accordingly, this describes the linguistic and cultural features of the works of authors with a German cultural background, authors whose mental space combines German and other or regional cultural background, and authors with a dominant critical perception of reality.
