The monograph describes the genre of readers in Soviet and emigrant newspapers of the 20s. XX century. And in relation to it, various genreic concepts are discussed.
The work proposes a classification of letters by their communicative orientation (letters-messages, letters, etc), and the compositional and language tools used by the authors of the letters are considered. Letters published on the pages of two Soviet newspapers ("Pravda" and Izvestia ") and two emigrant (" Latest News" and "Renaissance") were taken as the material. Linguistic analysis of letters in newspapers, among other things, allows you to observe the formation and structure of emigrant and Soviet discursive practices.
The monograph consists of three chapters and the application. Chapter I formulated the criteria necessary to determine the speech genre, taking into account the specifics of this study.
Chapter II is devoted to the description of the properties of the genre "letter to the newspaper". It consists of two parts. The first part gives a characteristic of the communicative situation in which this genre operates. The second part of the chapter discusses those signs that can be considered common to the genre of a letter to the newspaper "as a whole. In particular, the key properties of the author and the addressee are described.
In Chapter III, the classification of letters by type (frying) is presented in chapter III. For each suction, typical intention, prototypic composition and content are described, its linguistic embodiment is analyzed. A special place among the types of letters is occupied by letters-flashes. As part of the analysis of letters-flasks, some observations of the functioning of someone else"s speech in these letters are described, in particular, the possible mechanisms for distorting other people"s texts are discussed.
The application presents the case of the studied letters (about 500 letters) Letters in the building are grouped by genres. For convenience, the case is equipped with two signs - one is organized according to the chronological principle, the other by genre.
