Fundamentals of word formation in English. Textbook for universities

The book discusses two main methods of word formation - affixation (the formation of new words with the help of suffixes and prefixes) and word laying. The manual contains the patterns identified by thorough linguistic analysis in word formation and spelling, difficult cases and exceptions, as well as recommendations for their memorization. The difference between a real manual and the existing ones is that it allows you to meaningfully and in stages, step by step to study the basics of word formation, to form a “sense of language”, to expand the vocabulary, to improve spelling.
