This work is devoted to the description of the French language - problems that are not reflected in the studies of its structure and functioning in the works of domestic and European linguists. These are 1) Description of the features of the graphic code of the language, 2) the theory of punctuation, 3) the analysis of nominative syntactic models as an expression of the method of categorizing the phenomena of reality that dominates the mentality of carriers of French culture, 4) the methodology of studying speech phenomena, taking into account the variable nature of their communicative load, 5) The systematic representation of the interaction of the French and Russian linguistic cultures (XI-XXI centuries)
