The novel “Song of Fire-Red Flower”-a kind of interpretation of the immortal plot of Don Juan-is one of the most readable works of Finnish literature. Deep and bright, passionate and poetic, it, in the words of one of the critics, became a miracle-flower, blossomed in the harsh northern forests and alluring with some extraordinary, unique aroma. The text of the novel is adapted according to the method of Ilya Frank: equipped with a literal translation into Russian and the necessary lexical and grammatical commentary. The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs due to their repeatability, without memorization and the need to use the dictionary. The publication contributes to the effective development of the language, can serve as an addition to the curriculum.
