Tales of the Grimm brothers are published in accordance with the rules of modern German spelling (2004-2006) The Russian translation was made at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries by a children"s writer, publisher and editor A.A. Fyodorov-Davydov (1875-1936) In the annotation to pre -revolutionary this, it is said: "The publication includes fairy tales and children"s legends, which are, with slight exceptions, an almost literal translation of the German original." In the text, the names of the characters are preserved, which today will seem unusual to the reader: a snow-white, C-firing, silly.
