The proposed manual is intended for the seventh grades of a comprehensive school.
Stories included in the manual, talk about adventures and mysterious incidents that occurred with the heroes of various books created by writers of many countries. Some of the texts were written several centuries ago, while others belong to the pen of famous authors - Jonathan Swift and Daniel Defoe, Jerom K. Jerome and John Blynu. In addition, the collection has an excerpt from the diary of the English polar explorer Robert Scott.
