The textbook includes the stories of English -speaking authors and exercises for them. The materials analyze the main aspects of the interpretation of the literary text, such as the author’s position, methods of creating character, etc. This or that aspect is considered in relation to a specific artistic text, and the final task for each of the stories is a set of issues aimed at its interpretation. Tasks contribute to the improvement of analytical reading and speaking skills at the advanced stage of teaching foreign language communication.
