The book for reading is an obligatory component of the educational and methodological kit in English for grade 8. It is thematically related to the textbook and includes the texts of the works of classical English -speaking literature, corresponding to the age characteristics and interests of students, as well as the level of their language training.
A book for reading introduces students to excerpts from the works of J. London, E. R. Burrose, J. Oldridge, G. J. Wells, R.L.stineson. Tasks for texts contain additional information about the writers, history and culture of the language being studied and are aimed at the formation of reading skills (with a complete understanding of what they read and extract the necessary information), speaking, writing, the development of critical thinking and skills to work with the information received.
Each work is recommended for independent reading at home with the subsequent discussion in the classroom and in small groups
