In the small town of Woodstock, which is a few miles from Oxford, there is a brutal murder of a young girl. Inspector Mors from the Main Police Department Oxford and his assistant Sergeant Lewis are investigating this case. During the investigation, they have to talk with people of various social layers - from university professors to truck drivers, nurses, driver and people with an unhealthy psyche, they are faced with lies, moisture, and silence of facts. In the end, the case is uncovered, the killer was found and arrested, but the end of the investigation does not bring joy to the inspector for the fruit: a close person is the culprit of the crime.
