The monograph presents the preliminary results of a long -earned practical study devoted to the study of the features of teaching the English language for special purposes (ESP) of students of non -linguistic areas. It was revealed that the complex of interconnected and interacting linguistic and extralinguistic factors has a significant impact on the effectiveness of the study of foreign language in conditions of audit bilingualism. The authors describe the possible ways to reduce the negative and strengthen the positive influence of these factors through modeling a foreign language environment using alternative approaches to training, control and evaluating a non -linguistic university in a single educational space. The question is raised about the preparation of a new formation of teachers of foreign languages capable of responding to modern professional challenges.
