This monograph is devoted to the analysis of characteristic student errors that arise when analyzing sentences in modern Chinese at the level of phrases from small to large. It is shown that the main errors can be divided into three groups: 1) incorrect isolation of individual lexemes, 2) erroneous definition of types of phrases, 3) incorrect isolation of phrases. The methodology for the use of semantic pairs in the course of constructing structural schemes of sentences and in the process of checking the analysis made by students is stated.
Monographs are recommended by graduate students and doctoral students engaged in research in the field of the syntax of the modern Chinese language, teachers of such disciplines as the “practical course of the Chinese language” and “methods and principles of linguistic analysis of texts in Chinese”, as well as their students.
