A set of materials presented in the publication was prepared for the regional and final stages of the NAS in the French language in the 2018-19 academic year and includes Olympiad tasks, keys and criteria for evaluating creative work. The publisher’s website posts a complete record of the listening procedure for oral texts, as well as documents governing the requirements for the procedure for conducting NASS.

The typology and format of the documents used varies: literary text of the narrative type, popular science texts, interviews, reports, dialogical texts, public opinion polls conducted by French institutes TNS Sofres, Credoc, Opinionway, components (table and solid text), infographic documents.
The educational and methodological section of the book contains the analysis of two written works performed by participants in the regional stage of the NAC in January 2019. The analysis of the work is performed according to criteria and is a kind of illustration of the expert evaluation procedure, showing the reader how the expert works.
