The book included the chosen essays of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996) - “Less unity”, “Guide to the Renamented City” and “Trophy”. They are united by memories of childhood, about parents, about the post -war Leningrad and the life that the poet left, having left his country forever. These texts, written by the author in English in the 1980-1990s, were published in New York in the collections of Less That One (“Less unity”) and “On Grief and Reason” (“On Sorrow and the Mind”) . In this edition, they are presented both in the original and translated into Russian
