On the example of the German language, R. Steiner considers the principles of speech formation, as a means of reflecting the internal and external experiences of a person. The author shows how a change in the language accompanies the evolution of the people and how an ancient feeling, expressed in connection with the sound of a word with spiritual-spiritual realities, was transformed into the ability to abstract thinking, which led to a separation of word formation from a spiritual content that accompanies the corresponding concept. The issues of the mutual influence of European languages on each other are affected in connection with historical events
