The collective monograph covers common and private problems of learning the language and discourse of the media, the most relevant currently. These include: the information and language ecology of society, the role of the media in the process of personality formation, the methodology for analyzing the media discourse, the mechanisms of the impact of the media on the mass and individual consciousness used in political, advertising and other types of discourse. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the speech practice of the media in its attitude to the language norm, as well as the study of active processes in the development of the Russian literary language manifested in the texts of the media.
