The book introduces a unique edition - the album of the color lithographs of the famous Italian artist Carlo Bossoli (1815-1884) The album, published in 1856 in London, no more than 500 copies in London, - undoubted rarity, is hardly available to the general public. The book is designed not only to demonstrate the picturesque advantages of the album, but also to convey to the modern reader the artist"s idea. Therefore, the album is reproduced completely - 52 figures and "descriptions of descriptions", in which K. Bossoli determined the order of its work and briefly annotated them. "List of descriptions" = valuable source for researchers. It is translated into Russian in the original transcription and first commented in terms of history and toponymics
