The book consists of 16 chapters, each of which is devoted to a separate stage in the history of the development of open space architecture. Chapters are widely illustrated by photos and drawings. The text is compiled and located in such a way that is an explanation for them. Separately describes the existing styles of the landscape architecture of the West and the East, their main features and origins. Also highlighted biographies of masters - great gardeners and architects of open spaces, the memory of which is preserved in history.
