Diagram technique is an approach to probability theory based on constructing transition diagrams. This approach applies the idea of Nobel laureate R. Feynman, as outlined in the book "Quantum Mechanics and Path Integrals," to the case of discrete time and discrete space. Basic concepts such as system, system state, probabilistic processes during transitions between states, and system trajectory during transition from initial to final state are used. The application of diagram technique allows breaking down the solution of a specific applied problem into three consecutive stages: constructing a transition diagram, plotting probabilities of processes, and determining the probability of transition from initial state to final state by summing probabilities of transitions over all possible trajectories. Figuratively speaking, diagram technique acts as a logarithmic ruler to easily and quickly solve applied problems in the field of probability theory. Constructing a transition diagram allows for a clear and visual way to prove fundamental theorems and illustrate the process of deriving basic formulas in probability theory. A large number of applied examples arising in everyday life, sports, gambling and computer games, related to obtaining and using additional information, enhancing life safety, the principle of practical certainty, risk assessment, transience, predictability, and repeatability of emergency situations, as well as estimating average winnings, are considered. It is intended for those who understand that we live in a "phantom and tumultuous world" closely linked to random processes and risk. In this world, one must be able to navigate and make decisions quickly, the cost of which is sometimes measured not only in money. The book can be useful for students, master's and doctoral students studying in relevant fields.
