In recent years, the city of Kretch has become the center of technological progress. The world was stuck in the Dark Ages, and only the inhabitants of Kretcha managed to break out into the industrial era. When the church is looking for sorcerers and witches everywhere, industrialists are building factories and railways. When steel sparkles throughout the world on the battlefields, gunpowder and guns are produced in the rod.
Streets shrouded in fog hide many secrets. Intelligence of many countries fight for the right to own dangerous technologies. The aristocrats weave intrigues, and revolutionaries raise their heads in the poor areas. Meanwhile, the city shudders from a series of mysterious murders. Somewhere in his very heart, an unthinkable ancient evil awakens.
