The book is dedicated to the outstanding critic, literary scholar, publicist, and philosopher Vadim Valerianovich Kozhinov (1930-2001). The publication presents and analyzes his main works, reviews by his contemporaries. V.V. Kozhinov is the author of more than 30 books on literary theory, Russian literature of the 19th century, contemporary literary processes (primarily poetry), and Russian history. He did a lot to reintroduce M.M. Bakhtin's works to readers. His influence on a whole generation of critics and poets is immense, including N. Rubtsov, Yu. Kuznetsov, A. Peredreev, St. Kunyaev, V. Sokolov, N. Tryapkin, and others. In his later years, he was heavily involved in historical research on Russia's past. An annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Kozhinov Readings" is held in his memory. Compiled by: Kunyaev Sergey Stanislavovich.
