For almost 200 years, Russian translators (often - large writers and poets) appealed to tragedies of the great English playwright of William Shakespeare (1564-1616) Many translations made even in the XIX century, not at all and to this day, entering the "Golden Fund" of the Russian Translation School.
In this collection included three translations of the tragedy "King Lire" (1605) Their authors Alexander Druzhinin, Mikhail Kuzmin and Boris Pasternak.
