In his book "Kievan Rus. The main features of the socio-economic structure," the renowned scholar I.Ya. Froyanov rejected the prevailing view in Soviet historiography of the class and feudal nature of Rus, and provided evidence that in Ancient Rus, large private land ownership was relatively weakly developed and was primarily based on the labor of slaves rather than feudal dependents, who were a small part of the population, including some peasants. The book is intended for researchers, history teachers, history graduate students, and all those interested in the history of our country.
