Kea is a well -known wonderful, curious bird, endemic of distant New Zealand. The name given by local residents, Maori, to this rare and ancient parrot, by a happy coincidence coincides with the initials of the author of this book, the famous ornithologist and animal artist E.A. Koblika. Other heroes of the story are a variety of animals, primarily the birds that the author met, studied and painted in different corners of Russia and the world. The first three parts of the book are devoted to the formation and creative path of the author, which can be traced not only in the text, but also for pictures. They are written very vividly and are not at all like dry autobiography. The latter, which occupies about half of the book, part are stories, bright, like the drawings that illustrate them.
