They are the first to perform such an expedition to a polar night when it seems dark and even the snow seems black around the clock. The girl Katya is waiting for dad in Moscow, but thanks to the satellite phone and email, she monitors the expedition, learning more and more about the miracles of the Arctic. Dad tells her what white bears are most afraid of, and that thick ice can throw you into the sky like a ball. The fact that polar travelers carry ice shells, but sometimes change into spacesuits.
