Kalmyks

The book discusses the history and traditional culture of Kalmyks. This is the first attempt by the academic description of the Kalmyk people as an ethnic community. From the standpoint of modern science, the problem of the origin of the Kalmyks, their ethnic history, anthropological appearance, the formation of the Kalmyk language, the development of material and spiritual culture are studied. Kalmyks, being immigrants from Central Asia, have been surrounded by four centuries surrounded and borderly with the peoples of the south of Russia and the North Caucasus and have a certain influence.
